I am Glenys Bower-Macer, a Chartered Counselling Psychologist based in Stamford and Spalding. I have worked in mental health in Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire for 25 years, both in the NHS and as an independent practitioner.

 

I work with adults with complex needs delivering a number of specialist therapeutic interventions including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy.

 

I have extensive training and experience working with people with a wide range of issues including, anxiety, depression, phobias, relationship difficulties, issues of loss, emotionally unstable personality disorder, trauma and abuse related difficulties including PTSD.

 

Therapy sessions are an opportunity for you to explore the issues that concern you in a safe non-judgemental space and in the strictest confidence.

 

I am registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am also a member of BABCP and EMDRIA. I hold a current enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.
